Dirt 3 System Requirements: AMD Phenom II or Intel Core i7

It seems to be very difficult for fans of Dirt 3 that want to play this game with maximum details and resolution, because according to official information about the system requirements of Dirt 3 (which is revealed through Steam), need at least AMD Phenom II or Intel Core i7 as the main processors for the recommended settings. Meanwhile, the recommended video cards are the AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series or higher. When talking about the minimum requirements, chances are, if you can play Dirt 2, should have no problem with the Dirt 3. Pentium D and the GeForce 8000 series can still be used to run this game. But I’m not sure, because in reality, at least GeForce 8800 series is the minimum to be able to play today’s games smoothly.

Here are minimum system (hardware) requirements from Dirt 3:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.8 GHz, Intel Pentium D 2.8 Ghz
RAM: 2 GB
Hard Disk Space: 15 GB
Video Cards: AMD Radeon HD 2000 256MB, GeForce 8000 Series 256MB
DirectX: DirectX 9
Sound: DirectX compatible soundcard

Dirt 3 recommended system requirements:
Enhanced for DirectX 11
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: AMD Phenom II or Intel Core i7
Memory: 3 GB
Hard Disk Space: 15 GB
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series
DirectX: DirectX 11

According to several sources of information, DiRT 3 is using the similar engine as Operation Flashpoint: Red River and F1 2011. No doubt, the graphics quality will be outstanding. According to the plan, this fantastic racing game will be released on 24 May 2011, and players can feel the cockpit camera view.
